Inclusive Leadership

Inclusive Leadership

It is the role of the leader to build and maintain an inclusive organization. Leaders who do this skillfully are self-aware, understanding their strengths and challenges, as well as their impacts.

Inclusive leaders are those who are committed to and intentionally create workplace environments where employees can thrive. They cultivate a culture where diversity (in all it’s many forms) is appreciated and valued, and where people are able to bring their authentic selves to work. As a result, they enable all employees to speak up, share their unique perspectives and ideas, and engage in constructive dialogue to determine how best to get the job done.

Recognizing the need for a comprehensive approach to developing their inclusive leadership competency, we support leadership teams to understand conscious and unconscious bias, strengthen awareness of current mindsets and behaviors as they relate to inclusion, and master inclusive leadership behaviors by developing their listening skills, engaging in and encouraging healthy conflict, giving and receiving feedback, embracing accountability for their actions and impacts, and building strong and cohesive teams.

Engagements typically consist of ongoing support and coaching along with recurrent, facilitated leadership team meetings to evaluate progress and deepen the learning in inclusive leadership competencies.
